Here's a stamp that is done in black and white and features the word "FURRY" on it. If you'd like to use it, then feel free to do so!
I began drawing comic strips mainly in sixth grade, beginning with stick figures and then moving on to basic shapes. By the time I got to high school and then college, I played around with art, but never really considered myself to be that good. By the time I really decided to start dedicating myself to artistic endeavors, it was 2006 and I was married. My wife had a lot of experience with painting, having worked primarily with watercolors. We had always wanted to do some sort of project together, so I set about working up a story.
I wanted to use anthropomorphic characters, having always enjoyed anthro comic books and characters, so I began thinking up my primary cast. I wanted to pick something a little off the beaten path, rather than use the species of animals that are usually featured and if you're still reading this it's finally time to come clean. This isn't exactly a stamp I put any real effort into. So, why am I posting such a lame stamp? To prove a point, basically. I'm curious to see just how much attention this lame stamp gets in comparison to some other works, both from myself and other artists. It can be disheartening to see people post quality artwork that fails to garner any real attention, but if someone slaps together a work that says a certain key word, the faves just keep a-comin'. So, if you've read this far, do me a favor and do not fave this stamp. Once again, do not fave this stamp.
As a writer, I am very much a fan of rich and interesting characters, so there's a lot of drama and development that the characters undergo as we learn more about them and share in the struggles of their everyday lives. Also, I love science fiction so there's an element of that which pervades the storyline as well. The morality on display in the characters' lives is derived from my Christian beliefs and the short stories I am developing delve much deeper into these topics than the regular weekly comic. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the interaction that occurs in the short stories would be way too much to attempt to produce in a comic format without slowing the progress of the story considerably.
Interesting idea. o0 I have to say, I do get irritated by how much attention my crappy stamps get in comparison to my actual work, especially writing that I pour my heart into. >.>
You are dead-on with that. I have two stamps that currently rank as my highest faved and viewed artwork and they're not anything really to speak of. :/

Ill admit, I faved it. But then I got to the comment.....yeah, un-faved because now I feel cruddy. I mean....look at my gallery. I've got dozens of friends with higher quality artwork yet I'm the one with over 16,000 pageviews. And it's not like I was unaware of that phenomenon before.....yeesh
This also reminds me I gotta go back to reading artist comments first before faving. lol
